Narrow Bridge. Nikon D40 and Nikon 35mm f/1.8 DX
Nikon D7100 and the Nikon 50mm f/1.4 NIKKOR-S Auto manual focus lens.
I sold my Nikon D7100, because the camera had some issue with the batteries draining when not in use. I’m thinking about getting a Nikon D7000 in the near future. The 7000 series offers metering on old manual focus lenses. Plus a lot lighter than a Nikon full frame DSLR. The Nikon 50mm f/1.4 NIKKOR-S Auto manual focus lens worked well on the Nikon D7100.
Nikon D40 and the colors of leaves in the fall.
Well winter is upon us in Tennessee and I’m going through some pictures to post. I’m down to three cameras these days. The Nikon D700, D40 and D70. Going to sell the Nikon D70, since I like the Nikon D40 better, because of the larger display. I edit most of my photos in Apple Photos, because it is quick and easy. But if I’m going to print a photo, I will do the final edit using Gimp. This photo was taken with the AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm ƒ1.8G lens.
Nikon D700 yellow bush reflection in lake.
Shot this with the Nikkor 28-105mm ƒ3.5-4.5D IF lens on the Nikon D700. I like hiking with this lens, because it has pretty good macro ability. Though I must admit I rarely use the lens these days. I also have the Nikkor 28-85mm f/3.5-4.5 lens and I think it is better, but the macro ability is not very good.
Nikon D40 Black Cat Overexposed.
The cat was crossing the road in front of me and turned around and ran into the bushes when it saw me. The meter on the Nikon D40 is worthless and the photo was totally overexposed. But I like cats and a black one is really cool. So i adjusted the light and saturation heavily in Apple Photos to save it.
